Rehearsal Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, rehearsals are on the second floor stage of the auditorium. Please arrive by 6:45 PM for time to unpack and tune instruments.
What to bring to EVERY rehearsal: folding music stand, music folder and sharpened pencil. Cellos/bassists bring rock stops. You may bring a water bottle, however food and drink are otherwise not permitted in the rehearsal area. Members should put away chairs and music stands, and return music folders at the end of rehearsal.
Rehearsal Time: 6:45 PM - 8:30 PM, on the Ground Floor. Please arrive by 6:30 PM for time to unpack and tune instruments.
What to bring to EVERY rehearsal: At the first rehearsal of each semester, each musician will be issued a folder with sharpened pencil and music, and this MUST be brought to each rehearsal, along with a folding music stand with your name on each removable part, extra set of strings (basses excluded), cellos and bassists bring rock stops, anything else you need for your instrument and filled water bottle (no sugary drinks). All musicians other than bassists should also have a mute – I recommend the rubber “Tourte” type. Be sure you don't get a "practice mute;" that's for a different purpose. Links for purchasing mute at right.
Rehearsal Time: 6:45 PM - 8:20 PM, on the Ground Floor. Please arrive by 6:30 PM for time to unpack and tune instruments.
What to bring to EVERY rehearsal: filled water bottle (no sugary drinks, no GUM), folding music stand, music folder (supplied) containing ALL the music, sharpened pencil, cellos and bassists rock stops.
Please take note of your scheduled “volunteer date” for chair set-up & break-down.
Attendance & Behavior Policy
Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Inappropriate behavior, excessive tardiness and absences (excused or not) jeopardize the orchestras ability to perform and will necessitate a review by the conductor with the Board of Directors. More than two absences per semester will be considered excessive and may constitute grounds for dismissal. Cell phones and other electronics are to be silenced and out of sight during rehearsals.
